Criteria:

1. NYS Reduced school lunch plan = up to 50% scholarship – proof of lunch plan for skater required.

2. NYS Free school lunch plan = up to 75% scholarship – proof of lunch plan for skater required.

3. Recent and unforeseen “catastrophic” financial event = up to 75% scholarship - proof of event and impact required.  For split custody parents,  financial impact must be based on both parents.

Process:
 

1. Send scholarship form (below) and proof of qualification to IYHAscholarship@gmail.com.   Please include a letter describing your need circumstance.
    
2. Claims and documentation must be submitted by October 15.
    
3. Scholarship recipients will receive notice no later than one week prior to the closing of registration.
    
4. A registration link with a "coupon code"  be sent to recipients when their scholarship is approved.  You will use the code during the registration process and will be responsible for the remainder of the fee.  Skaters will be unregistered for failure to pay within the 30 days.

Parents/Coaches may directly petition the IYHA President at IYHAscholarship@gmail.com if you wish to request a scholarship for a player that does not meet the above criteria.  Special consideration may be given to families and individuals who have volunteered and continue to volunteer on behalf of IYHA.

Scholarship amounts are based on house team fees for each age group.

IYHA families are responsible for USA Hockey registration.  Scholarship money cannot be used.

All scholarship information is kept confidential by IYHA President,  Scholarship Rep and  Treasurer.
