What is the Squirt House Program?
This year IYHA will have 4 Squirt house teams instead of 3 Snowbelt teams. These 4 teams will have two practices a week and one game on the weekend. This is keeping more in line with USA Hockey's recommended practice to game ratio. The teams will play each other along with teams from outside IYHA when possible. After the season starts a separate taxi squad will be formed with that will play additional games against teams from other associations with the goal of participating in the Pepsi tournament in Buffalo, NY in March. The board of directors for IYHA is commited to making the Squirt House program a successfull program that is fun for the kids and provides a better opportunity to develop thier hockey skills. IYHA coach and board member Matt
Cicchetti will be leading this program.
