Summer Hockey Going Strong! Couple reminders after first skate last week.
Please bring light (white) and dark jersey (Blue or red) so that teams can be
divided/modified evenly. Do not forget water bottles! All players
should have safety equipment including face masks. The Rink covers insurance
so USA Hockey registration is not required but we do not need someone hurt to
test it. There is still no extra charge for parents or family members
to watch the summer skates at the COOL Rink this summer. There is still
room at all age level for that could not register on last week’s first
skate. Please contact the Rink for details or come to this week’s
session. Please insure all checks are payable to the Community Recreation
Center or (C.R.C.)C.). Contact Age Group Reps with
Questions: Schedule and Fees by Age
Group [Birth Year]: Pre-Registration Required –
No Drop-Ins: If you are going to be away for part of the summer you can
pre-register for the number of sessions you plan on attending at a cost of
$15 per session. The savings for registering for all sessions is $45
for the Mite and Squirt levels and $35 for all other levels. There will
be no drop-ins but the players can choose a number of sessions as per the
process registration process above. 2010
CRC_IYHA SUMMER ICE HOCKEY REGISTRATION PDF Please welcome Brian Crane as the IYHA President for 2010-2011 A very heart-felt thank-you
goes to outgoing President John Duthie on behalf of the BOD and all the IYHA
players and members. It has been a challenging year for IYHA and
John has positioned the association to be successful for potentially even
greater challenges next season. John will continue on the BOD and serve
as the Vice-President of Travel Squirt Snowbelt 1, Second in Onondaga Tournament! Ithaca Squirt Snowbelt 1
took second place in the Onondaga Thunder Squirt House tournament this past
weekend. Once again they showed a true
team effort with 10 out of 12 skaters scoring goals over the weekend beating
Onondaga 8-1, Oswego 5-1 and Cortland 3-0
in the cross over game. They played hard never quitting against
a Canadian team from Cumberland composed of 10 and 11 year olds in the
championship game losing 5-1. The team
ended the season strong going 8-3-4 for the last 15 games making it to the
cross over game of the JAMs and the championship game in the Onondaga Thunder
tournament. Thank
